Another important church of Nikitari is the church of Agios Ioannis Prodromos. This church has undergone maintenance works which were completed in 2010. It is a stony church with a steep-pitched roof covered with tiles.

According to Gunnis (1936), as this is noted in the Great Cyprus Encyclopaedia, important icons of the 17th century, as well as a gospel of the 16th century and more specifically of 1570 bearing a cover with a brass decoration, could be seen at the church in the past.
