A Monument dedicated to the fallen heroes from 1945 until 1974 was erected in the Community Park located at the entrance of the village. The Monument was unveiled by the former Minister of Education and Culture, Mr Pefkios Georgiadis, on November 26th, 2006.

What is noteworthy is that the Monument was constructed after an initiative and actions were taken by the Community Council and the Association of Expatriates and Friends of Nikitari.
